My Current Favourites

Hiiiiiiii! It has been a while since I sat down and talked about my current favourites so I thought that today I would let you know what products I have been loving recently.

You may have noticed that I took a small break from my blog over the past few months and that is because I have been extremely busy with work (juggling two jobs can be very difficult!) and other life commitments therefore I have had little time to put the time and effort that I would have liked to into my blog. I only ever want to put out the best content that I possibly can and unfortunately that has not been possible recently which is why I decided to take a break from posting.

My main passion has always and will always be makeup work and my blog therefore I am committed to continue working towards my dream of becoming a full time makeup artist and regularly updating my blog with the best beauty and lifestyle content that I can.

Here's to a great future and let's get on with my current favourites!

Nars Sheer Glow & Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
I have recently fallen back in love with my Nars Sheer Glow foundation which gives a stunning medium coverage semi-dewy finish on the skin. This is usually my go to foundation when I want a good coverage base for when I'm wearing more makeup than usual- if you know me then you will know that I don't wear a lot of foundation and don't like anything too thick or heavy. Sheer Glow is great because it doesn't feel too heavy on the skin and gives a natural finish whilst still giving good coverage.

I had always heard great things about the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer although I had yet to try it myself until recently when I ran out of my trusty Urban Decay Naked Skin Concealer.
If you like the Urban Decay concealer but would like a little more coverage then you will LOVE the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer. This concealer gives amazing high coverage yet blends into the skin effortlessly without looking heavy or thick.

On days when I don't want to wear foundation but still need the coverage, I have been applying this concealer just in the places needed and it gives a fantastic finish.

I have tried other full coverage concealer's in the past although they always look thick and cakey on the skin however the NARS concealer has a great texture that works perfectly.

My only concern is that there doesn't seem to be a lot of product in the tube and for the heavy price tag (£23) I do not think that it is good value for money.

Maybelline 24 Hour Colour Tattoo, On and On Bronze
This cream eyeshadow from Maybelline has been a favourite product of mine for many many months and I am yet to find anything else that I love as much. If you are looking for a quick and easy product that gives you a great finish in seconds then this eyeshadow is for you - perfect if you don't have time to spend applying lots of eyeshadow but still want a touch of something.

I simply press the colour all over the eye lid using either my finger or a flat brush and then simply buff out and blend the edges with a large fluffy brush. Add a heavy coat of mascara and you're good to go!

The formula of this eyeshadow is creamy, easy to blend and the colour is stunning. I love it!

Maybelline Brow Drama
Another product from Maybelline that I love is their sculpting brow mascara, Brow Drama.
I am always on the hunt for the perfect eyebrow products and I absolutely love using this as a part of my eyebrow routine.

Brow Drama is a sculpting brow mascara with a hint of colour which adds hair like fibres to your eyebrows whilst also setting the hairs into place.
The mascara has a small ball shaped end which gives you control of how much product you apply.

Because Brow Drama has a hint of colour, you may choose to simply use this and nothing else to achieve a slightly fuller natural brow or like me, you can fill in your eyebrows with either powder or pencil and then go over with Brow Drama to set the product into place and add more texture.

MAC Lipstick, Mehr
MAC Lipstick's will always be my favourite and I always love trying out new shades. I am yet to find a brand that makes better lipsticks than MAC- they have the best range of shades and the quality is outstanding. If you are looking for a long lasting, pigmented lipstick that is comfortable to wear then look no further than MAC. If you want to read more about my love for MAC lipsticks and have a nosey at my collection, check out my post by clicking here.

Mehr lipstick is a muted pink rose matte shade. I love to pair this with MAC Soar lip liner to create a full matte pink lip that is easy to wear and great to compliment any makeup look.

Dove Derma Spa Summer Revived/ Summer Glow, Gradual Tan
Summer is fast approaching but like usual here in Manchester we never get the strongest rays of sunshine so the only way to achieve a summer glow is to fake it (unless you're lucky enough to escape to the sunshine!)

Fake tan reminds me of being 12 and experimenting with whatever I could find in Boots which would leave me looking like a character in Charlie and the Chocolate Factory! :S
Fortunately there are a lot of great fake tans available now which won't leave you looking a bright shade of orange and this body lotion with gradual tan from Dove is great.

To achieve a subtle healthy tan, this lotion from Dove is a great choice as it is extremely fool proof and great for even ghostly pale bodies like mine.

(Pictured is two different bottles which I found in two different boots stores- I think the Derma Spa on the left is their new packaging and Summer Glow on the right is the old packaging)

Chanel, Soleil Tan De Chanel
Following my previous favourite, you may have guessed that I am no longer so ghostly pale and therefore I have been able to get away with applying a touch more bronzer than usual.
My go to bronzer is the Chanel, Soleil Tan De Chanel. This is a cream-gel bronzer that glides onto the skin to leave a velvety sun kissed finish.

Coming in just one universal shade may sound odd, however I can assure you that this really does adapt and work with all skin tones to create a beautiful warm glow. Although the product looks very orange in the pot- it blends out into the skin effortlessly to leave a bronzed glow which never looks muddy.

Callum Helslop @ Olivia Naylor Salon
GHD Curve Soft Curl Tong
I recently decided to switch up my hair and I visited Callum Helslop at Olivia Naylor Salon in Preswitch, Manchester to get a balayage style. I walked into the salon with one deep brunette colour and left with a sun kissed fudge balayage style which I love. Callum was amazing and I would really recommend him if you are in Manchester. Click here to check out Callum's Instagram page!

I have always loved to curl my hair and now with my new hair style, curls really help to emphasise and bring out the colour. My favourite tool to curl my hair is the GHD Curve Soft Curl Tong which helps me to achieve a soft, glamorous look. I love this curling wand because the barrel is the perfect width to give a softer curl and it is quick and easy to use.

Let me know if you would like to find out exactly how I style my hair and my current routine to maintain my style!

Sunglasses, Topshop, ASOS & Vintage
Now that the sun has started to make a few occasional apperances in the UK, I have been able to pull out my favourite sunglasses. I love using sunglasses to add a stylish touch to my outfit and I have been loving wearing these pairs from Topshop, ASOS and a vintage shop.
