Anything that is quick, easy and effective is ideal to use in my kit when I want to quickly apply a product to create an impressive look. Blue Brown is a unique shade and I have seen no other colour like it before. It is a shimmery brown with red undertones and flecks of teal blue.
The other day I was asked exactly how to wear this pigment and what products I would pair alongside it so in this post I have decided to show you how I use the pigment and what products I use to make it pop.
I will insert some photos of makeup that I have done using the Blue Brown pigment.
I always use an eye base whenever I apply any eyeshadow and I think that the best one to use with this pigment is NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Milk. I like to use this because it leaves a tacky finish which helps the pigment to stick and also the pure white colour helps the pigment to pop and stand out.
Whenever I have used loose pigments before I always reached for my MAC Fix+ which I would spray onto my brush to help the pigment stick to the eye lid however I have found that this particular pigment works perfectly when applied on its own on a dry brush.
I tried using Fix+ with this and I found the product to flake and crease quicker, especially on dry eyelids.
Transition shades are used to create a more flawless and polished look with no harsh edges. After I have applied my clean white base, I then reach for a small pencil eye shadow brush to apply my transition shades- this will help the overall look flow smoothly and act as a barrier between the main shadow and your bare skin.
MAC Blue Brown pigment compliments both warm and cool shadows which makes it extremely versatile to suit almost everybody. The transition eyeshadows that I like to use with this pigment include MAC Charcoal Brown, MAC Brun, Makeup Geek Peach Smoothie and Makeup Geek Cocoa Bear.
I am extremely impressed with the MAC Blue Brown pigment and I could not recommend it enough to anybody who is after a quick, easy and effective eye shadow which stands out to make an impressive statement.
